If you remember back in October, we had a freak snow storm that packed quite a little punch. It was the weekend right before Halloween. We were heading down to my parents house to celebrate my sister's birthday, when we saw the first few flakes of snow begin to fall. Down by my parents house they only got a dusting, so we were surprised to see the few inches of snow on our property when we got back home.
Since then it has been pretty mild. I actually think that one of the coldest days I have gone running was a Saturday morning back in October. Anyways, I had breakfast on Saturday morning with some of the guys from an awesome men's Bible study that I was a part of for a few years. I got this text from Renae (lol the part previous to that would be from when Logan began crying last night, and I was still downstairs watching tv. I love that when Logan is fussy he becomes "my son")....

It has totally skipped my mind that this would be Logan's first real experience in the snow. Renae snuck him out without me, but was more than happy to entertain a second outing for Logan when I got back ;) Overall, I'd say that he enjoyed his experience. I think that just like any other human being he prefers being in a warmer environment, and he did not really like it when I laid him in the snow. But he was curious, and I cannot wait until next year when he is old enough to play around in the snow for real. Maybe I should make a game called "Shovel the Trail" and teach him from the start that shoveling is "fun" and that it is something to "look forward to" every time it snows?????
Here are some pictures from Logan's first real play time in the snow:
