"Hey, I am thinking about going sky diving. I know that you've gone before. What's it like? Like, what does it feel like to jump out of a plane and fall thousands of feet?"
"Well, it's like a rush. The door opens up and the wind is hitting you. It's really loud too. You kinda don't wanna take the step, but then you do and you're just falling. You scream and are scared, but it's really awesome at the same time."
Hmm....but honestly is that all it feels like? I mean you are free falling from a height that no normal human being should be falling from. Is it really a rush? Is it really scary? The only way to find out is to do it. Same with this first real hug experience that I got from Logan the other day.
I came home from work on Friday and heard Logan and Renae playing in the living room. Apparently, he stopped playing to turn his focus on who might be coming into the living room. So I got down on my hands and knees and began saying, "Hello!" and "Logan!" According to Renae his face just lit up and was beaming. From where I was, on all fours, I could hear his hands slapping the ground and he began to crawl in my direction. I poked my head around the corner and said hi to him and he just went in to an all out sprint crawl. I stayed there for a second and he quickly crawled up my arm, stood up holding on to my shoulder, and with his other hand reached up for my face/neck/shoulder. I scooped him up and stood up and he immediately put both his arms around my neck, nuzzled his head into my neck and squeezed with as much as his little arms could...
Luckily Renae had the camera out and was able to get a couple pictures:
Just for the record...I felt like a million bucks that day!
