This blog is close to me because I am seeing friends of mine
do something which I wish I was in the position to do. I love teaching and
enjoy working with kids, but my true passion lies in working with my hands.
That boils down to my enjoyment of two things; first building things or fixing
things and secondly preparing and cooking food!
A few months ago we had some friends over to sit out back
around our fire pit. The night got late and one couple began talking about
their plans to open up a food truck in West Chester, PA right near West Chester
University. I thought that was an awesome idea because I have a similar dream
to one day open up my very own mom-and-pop style coffee shop.
Anyways… the months came and went, and the hard work and
effort on their parts finally paid off. Just over a week ago my friends, the Kangs, had everything lined up. On that Saturday morning
Dawn and Sung-yoon officially opened up their food truck for business. Watch
out West Chester! Here is a small taste of Ka’Chi!!!! Korean with a Twist!
I wanted to support them by being their as they first opened
up and to take pictures of their very first day.
Seriously, check them out when
you are in town M-F between 11 and 4. I had the sliders and they weer
AMAZING!!!!!!!!
Here are some pics:
Not sure where to find them? Well, now you know. They are right in the middle of the action on South Church St.
Their menu is awesome. I honestly had no idea what I wanted to try when I was there. From the moment I got out of my car all I could smell was their food, and my taste buds were going into overdrive.
Their is Sung-yoon preparing some of the meat on the grill...hard at work
But relaxed enough to have some fun.
The proud owners and lovely couple.
Dawn prepping for the Grilled Kim Cheese Sandwiches.
That is what I'm talking about...the chicken, the beef, the pork...o man it smelled so good.
Shortly after I was there, they had their first ever customers!
As for myself, I had to try to Bulgogi Sliders. Premuim ground beef mixed with a sweet bulgogi marinade. Had one with the Persimmon Habenaro sauce and one with the Spicy Aioli....I highly recommend!
Thanks for supporting us and for the coolest pictures! see you tomorrow =D
